What they say

Condolences from patients to Mokashi Family on 20th February, 2003 which were later published in the book "Amal"

To Dr. Amal's family

It is simply unbearable that such a gruesome, cruel and cowardly attack could come by way is saddening to the core of our heart. When patients like us feel like loosing one from our family is so deep when we used to meet him occasionally when unwell, to say that we share the grief with the family is misplaced.

We and Nashik has lost a brilliant studious, disciplined and affable personality is a huge loss. The relationship of the lost & yrs have come to an end due to his passing away, yet his memory will remain with us forever.

Since mythological times we believed in the conflict between Gods and demons that is good and evil and both exist in the society yet a personality so kind and admirable could meet such a wicked end is simply UN-thinkable. So benevolent helpful and kind personality could be fatally attacked is unbelievable and we are very much hurt. Even today there exists devilish people in the society and one such has ended a piosly living doctor is beyond any words and all of us are deeply bereaved due to this dastordly tracherous act. My God rest his soul in peace.

As a student of R.Y.K College of Gokhale education society, Nashik he was liked by all our colleagues and we were proud of him as good student. Even as doctor he was always with us and was part-and parcel of our families. A lovable doctor who instantly communicated with everyone around him is no more, is a thought that pains us immensely.

Dr. Mokashi was not just a doctor, he was much more for us. A complete gentleman and a soft spoken person, skillful and competent person. We cannot express our feelings just in words, but certainly we all feel that a family member has passed away and his loss cannot be covered by anyone else. God give all the family members the strength to bear with this loss. It certainly is a tragic end of wonderful person having so many qualities.

To the most gifted parents of Dr. Amal Mokashi. We came into contact with Dr. Amal Mokashi, as a patient through some reference almost seven years ago, and since then we have been meeting him almost every week. In due course it turned into friendly relationship. We are extremely shocked and grieved with the sudden demise of doctor. We are unable to bear the loss. It is a tremendous loss to us, the society and maximum to you and your family. Dr. Mokashi was man of principles, a very good human being and a very good Doctor. He was the only person to whom we consulted for any small or big problem. Without him it is very difficult. Kindly accept our condolences and try to cope up with the huge loss.

During the last 11 years, Dr. Amal Mokashi, as very soft and lovable personlaity was like a younger brother to us all in the Chaudhari family and so kind a personality meeting such a cruel end at the hands of a half-mad patient is a very sorrowfull for all of us. I was stunned to listen this and couldn't belive it for a moment. I humbly pray God that his soul may rest in peace. Hari Om.

Dr. Amal Mokashi was not only our family doctor but became a part and parcel of our family. Any member of our family would sneeze even, we used to meet the doctor. But we could not run to save his life, will pinch us for lifetime. This sense of guilt will remain with us for ever. His image persists constantly for me and my family. He was like GOD for us. May the Lord rest him in peace. The void created by his loss will persist with us for all time to come.

- Mr Anil Durve

I am an Atheist but with this horrible event of ending a very kind life who was always helpful to other cannot be described in words and my belief has strengthened that God doesn't not exists. To deprive life from such a sensitive, kind and helpful personality is an ultimate injustice and I get benumbed and stunned. We feel orphaned on losing him for ever. We cannot describe in words what has befallen his family.

In my journalism career of 22 yrs, to write such lines for Amal is unbearable. Amal, yourself skill to pinpoint the ailment physically and to administer your magical treatment for a very fast recovery was simply amazing. As a mind reader you cherished the friendship with one and all reflected your extreme sensitivity towards your patients and friends has created a void in our life and will remain with us till the end.

When I learnt that Dr. Amal Mokashi was fatally stubbed by someone, I felt soil under my feet is slipping off and there was a cramp in my stomach. This was Monday 17th Feb, 2003 at 10:30 in the morning. I immediately sat before the image of Lord Rama and began to pray for the fast recovery for him, however probably the prayers didn't reach the Lord and I could not success. I realized at 1 o'clock that my prayers did not reach the Lord and I got sunk in sadness. May his soul rest in peace.
So composed calm and leind person at such a young age of hardly 35 yrs. was not amongst us anymore. What can be more saddening young age meeting such an unkind end.
My heart goes to Mokashi family and I wish earnestly that he takes to "save the needy" again in the new life on his earth.

Dr. Amal Mokashi was an angel in human disguise. He was a God sent angel for my daughter who had-been suffering from Asthma. He was not only a doctor for us but also a caring person who cared for my daughter's health. I knew I could depend on him at any moment of the day. I and my family are shocked by this demise. May his soul rest in peace. A gem of a man left for heavenly abode. Leaving us all empty. We will miss him.
