Place of Birth: Mumbai(then Bombay) INDIA.
Early Childhood: As a child Dr. Amal Mokashi was brought up in Chinchwad as suburb of Pune, INDIA. Where his father worked in "General Electric"(USA), Subsidiary in the capacity of an Engineer. As there was no school in Chinchwad, then, his mother established one along with her friend, Mrs. Mate, which is now a junior college in Chinchwad, known as "Parvati Bai Vidyalay"
After kindergarten years his father moved to the city of Nashik in western India, "Maharashtra State", where Dr. Amal Mokashi studied in "Rachana Vidyalay" upto Hight school level and further persued his studies in Science at "R.Y.K College of Arts and Science" under the auspicies of "Gokhle Education Society", Nashik.
He further studied in Homeopathy at Khamgaon in central Maharashtra, at "Hahnemann Institute". He was the pet student of Dr.Kavishwar(Sr) who was the principal of the institute, as well as, Dr. Kavishwar(Jr) who took over the work of the institute later on.
After finishing his studies Dr. Amal Mokashi worked as an Intern with "Col. Dr. Aneel Habbu" MBBS, MD(Med) who took up Homeopathy as his faith in Medicine, who worked in Mumbai(Sion) and Pune and is a "Consultant with the Armed Forces at Pune( India )".
During his shuttling between Pune and Nashik for his work in Homeopathy and Medicine, Dr Amal was inducted in various diagnostic skills in Modern Medicine/ Alleopathic Medicine. "Dr. Vasant Gupte" MBBS MD(Med), the then Mayor of Nashik city and a well known physician who established "GUPTE HOSPITAL" in the city of Nashik which is now being run by his son "Dr. Kunal Gupte, MBBS Cardiologist".
Dr. Amal Mokashi stared his private practice in Homeopathy in 1989, in Nashik. Simultaneous with "Dr. Farooq Motiwala" he established the well known college of Homeopathy in Nashik which is now known as "Motiwala Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital".
Dr. Amal Mokashi being a strict follower of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, use talking techniques which involves personalities of the patients. In this regard he used to make, use of the personalities from William Shakespeare's literature so that the picture of the medicine would be clear to the students, since most of the student where so young so as not to know Shakespeare, he had to first make them familier with personalities described by the great writter from his original works. In this task, he had himself made familier in depth Shakespearian literatur from with the help of Mrs. Kulkarni, Professor of English at R.Y.K. College at that time.
Dr. Amal Mokashi was a member of the Government of Indias Central Council of Homeopathy, one of the council of the Central Government of India for Homoeopathy. It works to co-ordinate activites of all the Homoeopath in India and governess their ethical practice. Dr. Amal Mokashi was a member since 1999 till 2003.
Dr. Amal Mokashi had an illistrious career in the field of Medicine till 17th Feb, 2003. On which dark day done away by a leunotic patient suffering from Schizophrenia who is undergoing life imprisonment for his crime.
After the sad demise of Dr. Amal Mokashi, in such a wicked manner doctor's, Allopths as well as Homoeopaths has shut shops on 3 different days in a span of 1 and half month to speed up, the case of Dr. Amal Mokashi sad demise, by the authorities and in symapathy towards this cause event the medical shops had done likewise. Even a march was carried out, at the Dist. Collectors office on that day.
